New homework, gosh!
I think the story was a very good story and it take me through a lot of thinking and emotion when I heard it from Ms.Patrace. It is very sad when the kid got shot by the guy in the black car, I was really surprise to see anyone wants to kill him, maybe the master of the carpet boy. Overall the story is very new and it brought me more idea on how children in poor family was treated way back in 1993. It was not a venerate way to treat children, especially when they are young.

Kevin's Favorite Song
My favorite singer is Bruno Mars, I love his songs, they are all very emotional. I love "Billionaire" that Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars sang together, it is very emotional. I love the lyrics and the message of Bruno Mars, it is clearly said that he want to be an billionaire and he can buy anything he wants. Whenever I listen to this song, I feel like I am an poor person that want to be an billionaire. I also like how the chorus is done, and how Travie raps those funny lyrics. The melody of this song is really good too! It is very slow and it make you happy, but when it come to the rap part, the melody goes a little faster. In the video of "Billionaire", the message that Bruno and Travie is that be kind to the poor and help them!

Homework for 12/1/2011! (Ya, the day that we have 45 minutes for lunch!)
"Madam and the Rent Man" questions:
#1. Madam and the rent man seem not to get along throughout the poem, but the ending sentence is "So we agrees." because the author want to tell the readers that both the woman and the man were really mad so they agreed that they are both mad. The second thing is, why is the author having a "s" after the agrees? I think it is just for fun or the author was born in a normal family so she didn't get well educated.
#2. In the poem I think there are MANY messages that have been told to the readers. One is that keep your promise, the host of the house didn't keep his/her promise to improve the rent house so the Madam is badly mad. The last one I want to tell you is that you have to have a view of a house and the host of the house before you rent it, or else you will be in a situation like the woman!
#3. The author used words like Howdy-do, Hades and some rhyme words to make an reader have an idea or an image of what is going on.

Madam and the Rent Man
The three images that came up on the top of my head!
The first image that I can see when I read this poem is the woman's anger. She doesn't want to pay the rent money doesn't mean she is poor or selfish, but the host of the house broke the promise to fix the house so it's in better quality.
Next, I can see how the house is badly damage and how old is the rent house through the author's words.
And last, I can imagine how poor is the agent, he didn't do anything, he was just hired to go to collect money and he got scolded at.
